About Phyllis N. Segal
Phyllis N. Segal is a Segal Founder and Advisory Board Member for the Eli J. & Phyllis N. Segal Citizen Leadership Program and the Vice President of Encore. Segal has extensive experience in the nonprofit and public sectors leading organizations, advocating for social justice, teaching and practicing law. She also serves on the boards of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, Heller School for Social Policy and Management, ReServe Inc., and The Conversation Project. She served until 2014 as a member of the Board of the Corporation for National and Community Service. In her earlier career as an attorney, Segal was the founding Legal Director (and then President) of the NOW Legal Defense and Education Fund as Massachusetts Deputy Attorney General, Chair of the Federal Labor Relations Authority in the Clinton Administration and Chair of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence.
